Good Things – #12

It’s been a while pals and gals! Lately I’ve been busy enough to impress even the skeptics, but today I decided to take some time out just for you. Feel special! This Sunday-Spectacular Good Things has the late, great Steve Hill and Leonard Ravenhill, Al Green, and a trip to the Far Side.

GOOD SCRIPTURE

I thought it good to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has worked for me.

How great are His signs,

And how mighty His wonders!

His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,

And His dominion is from generation to generation.

Daniel 4:2-3

GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT

As many of you know, Steve Hill went home a week ago today. His work has had such an impact on my life; and I count it a blessing to have lived in the time of such a great revivalist. Let’s pray for his family in their time of loss (he left a wife, three children, and a son-in-law), and pray that faithful workers come to water, and then harvest the seeds he planted. If you are unfamiliar with Steve Hill (or the Brownsville Revival), I encourage you to do some research on YouTube, or go to his website. One of his sermons and altar calls will change you forever. Even if you’re already saved, the unwavering conviction that Steve Hill had will make you reexamine yourself.

Well done Brother Hill! Now you can rest from your labor…

GOOD QUOTES

How can you pull down strongholds of satan, if you don’t even have the strength to turn off your TV?

GOOD MUSIC

First, I discovered The City Harmonic while browsing my YouTube suggestions. (Lately, the tube has been hitting me with a mixture of African Gospel and spontaneous songs from Bethel. The tube knows me well.) This song hooked me from the first line, and by the end I was hardcore feelin’ it – arms up and everything. Then, I bought the whole album off iTunes. Now, I’m a fan. They remind me of a younger Gungor, a’la Beautiful Things. (Which is another cra-mazing album…like crazy+amazing. It’ll catch on soon.) I love albums that make me feel like I’m being preached at. I love catchy tunes and “ethereal sounds” as Rachel calls it. I love The City Harmonic! Check them out and you might fall in love yourself.
